My husband, Jonathan, has been a Baptist Minister for over seven years and we currently live in the North West. We have two daughters, Rebekah and Talitha. My interests include walking and reading and I am currently studying for a Masters in Contextual Theology.
One thing that I have learnt over the past seven years is that whether I like it or not, there is something unique about living in a ministerial household – no two households are the same, but there are experiences that are common to those who are married to a woman or man in a ministerial role. Connecting with other spouses gives me the opportunity to share and learn, be myself and be listened to.
Due to the differences in age, background and culture there is a diversity in Connexion membership and activities – as there is in most Christian communities. Connexion values the individual whilst celebrating this diversity. For me, Connexion, is a place where spiritual sisters and brothers, spiritual parents and children can love, challenge and encourage one another on this journey that we share.
